Brian Nilsen

Brian was born in Norway and in his youth immigrated to Canada (Edmonton, AB). He was educated in Edmonton and graduated from NAIT with a Diploma in Architectural Technology.

After graduating, he joined their family firm (construction & land development) in which he held positions up to President of the company; the family firm was dissolved at which time he and his immediate family moved to Toronto to work with Cambridge Leaseholds (Ivanhoe Cambridge) as a Senior Development Officer.

Then he joined Foundation Company, and worked as an Area Manager constructing the Hotel and Parkade structure at the Terminal 3 at the Lester B Pearson Airport. In 1990, he was transferred to Vancouver to take the VP & General Manager position of the BC branch office.

In 1991, he started up his own Tenant Improvement construction company and performed work in the retail and corporate commercial sectors.

In 1994, he moved to Calgary and started consulting as an Owner Representative and Project Manager to Pension Funds and mid to large size development companies doing developments across Canada and continues in this capacity.

In 2019, he moved to Vancouver to be closer to family and continue his business as an Owner Representative and Project Manager.
