Penn West
+15-Pedestrian Bridge, Calgary
A project to construct a +15-pedestrian bridge connecting two downtown buildings by spanning over an active parkade ramp with a very confined work area.
The challenges were to maintain vehicular traffic to the parkade and CPR shops and the restricted construction lay down area.
Concept provided project management services.
Holy Cross Flood Restoration, Calgary
A flood restoration project, which consisted primarily of the restoration of the mechanical and electrical systems in the five buildings.
The challenge was to deliver the premises back to the owner within 6 months - demand on manpower and equipment delivery.

A client purchased a partially completed 105 unit condominium which was converted to rental apartments.

Millennium Water Olympic Village, Vancouver
A project of 1100 units built to house the Olympic athletes during the 2010 Olympics. Post Olympics, the units were refurbished to market condominiums (35% of the units are social housing). The project also included a few large retail units and several smaller retail units.
Concept, initially provided project oversight services, which expanded into project management services.
Alberta Schools (P3), Edmonton and Calgary
A design-build project of 18 schools (nine in each city) under a P3 program sponsored by Alberta Infrastructure. The schools were from Kindergarten to Grade nine.
The project had a tight design/construction period as the schools had to be ready for the September start of school.

IKEA Kitchen Reno, Calgary
A project to remove the existing servery line and replace with a reconfigured “M” line (first in Canada). The challenge was to minimize the downtime.

A project to redevelop the main and second level of a high-rise office tower complex.
The challenge was that the work had to be undertaken primarily during normal working hours when the retail tenants were open.

A project for IBM offices. The building is a
5-storey structure with one level underground parking.

Airport Corporate Centre, Calgary
A project with rental office space. The building is an 8-storey structure with three levels of parking and a basement used by the Calgary Airport Authority.

Long-Term Care Facilities, Toronto
A project consisting of 12 long-term care facilities in the Toronto area. The facilities consisted of single and 2-storey buildings.

Meridian Corporate Park, Calgary
A project with office rental space. The building is a 3-storey structure with one level of underground parking.
The site was challenging as it was a former dumpsite and there were issues around soil condition and over excavation.

A project to design and build 15 schools throughout Nova Scotia.
The locations were not predetermined so site selection was part of the assignment.
