Introduction To Concept Consulting 

Concept Consulting Ltd. is a project consulting firm operating in British Columbia and Alberta, specializing in Owner Representative, Project Management, and Project Oversight/Monitoring services to various building owners & developers. 

We believe in leading a project and a team through collaboration, sound practices, and experience versus using authority or jurisdiction to push our way through to the end.

Since our inception in 1991, we have focused on assisting our clients with managing their risk with all phases of their projects, facilitating the successful development of a variety of projects throughout Canada. Our clients are major pension funds and land developers both of which have new assets and redevelopment of existing assets. The service area is British Columbia and Alberta.  

We provide a significant benefit to the Owners and have been most successful adding value to projects when assuming responsibility for specific development functions and for the co-ordination of the ensuing work. With us on the job, the client’s staff can focus on their primary responsibilities while the project is being expedited to a cost-effective and timely completion.

We believe that the experience our group provides can be a good fit for all groups and the scope of work provided can be very flexible and tailored to suit only what is required for the project. 

When working with us, you get the services of Brian Nilsen, the principal. We have the ability to outsource clerical work and project assistance as required. 

We work as an independent consultant (retained by the owner) and we are not associated with specific architects, engineers, or contractors, thus enabling us to be fully objective when representing the owner’s interests.
